Conversion instructions to add mouse connections for a Morse paddle or
handicapped switches follows.
Any standard mouse, wired or wireless, works with Comax for sending Morse
code via taps of the mouse keys. If you wish to attach an external Morse key or
paddle or switches for handicapped access, then a Comax adapted mouse is
required. There are two options to make external connections:
Option #1. If you are handy with a solder iron, open up a mouse and connect
three wires. Wire #1 connects to the left mouse button. Wire #2 connects to the
right mouse button. Wire #3 is common, connect to the other side of either mouse
button. Connecting wire #1 and #3 will send a dot. Connecting wire #2 and #3
will send a dash. See
http://brasspounder.com:8873/PCMouse.html for more details.
Option #2. Buy a mouse with connection jacks installed. Such a mouse is
available from
http://www.ergoguys.com (and others) for $54.99. |
